Stars making big bucks through award show!

The awards season has begun and whistleokplease thought that we should share with you that stars not only take home the shining trophies but also a fat pay cheque for entertaining the audience through their wit, humour and anchoring skills! 

To begin with Ranveer Singh who had hosted the last season of the last edition of the Global India Music Awards was such a hit that they called him again this year and well when your popularity increases so does your price tag. Ranveer who was paid  who perform at these glittering events, and put in all the effort to about 25 lakhs last year took home a pay cheque of around 30 lakh rupees this year!

While Ranveer Singh earned this mich for his quirkiness his 'Gunday' co-star who is all set and quite nervous too about her debut as the host of the 59th annual Filmfare Award has been paid around 70 lakh rupees!

When we are talking about piggy chops how can could we forget Ranbir baby! Yes Ranbir who is co-hosting the Filmfare Awards this year along with Priyanka Chopra is taking home a pay cheque of around 1 crore rupees!

But the man who made his anchoring debut last year by hosting the 8th edition of the Star Guild Awards is back again this year to host its 9th edition and as his stardom would demand he is paid a whopping 2 crore to 2.5 crore rupees. But we feel that this amount is still very less after all the gossip and headlines he got the award show into for hugging Shah Rukh on stage

But beating Salman even here and leading the pack of course is King Khan. TV channels and award organisers all are desperate to get SRK on the stage and whistleokplease's reliable sources tell us that SRK along with taking home an award also gets a colossal 2 crore 50 lakh rupees! 

Big films and their big satellite deal!

Well 2013 is over but the magic of the films released last week still continues. Big films that opened with a bang last year at the box-office are all set to rock this year too but on the small screen. TV channels spend crores of money every year to acquire rights of such big dhamakedar and promising films so find out which are those top-5 films that cracked the biggest satellite deals this year! 

On the fifth spot is Indian super-hero 'Krrish 3'. Though there were allegations on Rakesh Roshan for forging the collection figures of the film non of the controversies affected it run at the silver screen and didn't seem to dampen its small screen prospects too as the satellite rights of the film were sold for a massive 38 crore rupees even before the film had released.

Gaining the fourth spot is SRK and his 'Chennai Express'. The film that never left the box-office fast track and broke all records was sold to '& Pictures' for a colossal 40 crore rupees but with a clause that if the film makes more than 100 crores then the quoted amount could be re-negotiated and increased. Well now we all know that the film netted a cool 211 crore rupees at the box-office so you can only imagine the profits the producers of the film must have earned through its satellite right deal.

On the third place is Aamir Khan and his 'Dhoom 3' which has become the first Indian film to gross over 500 crore rupees worlwide and whose satellite rights were sold for a jaw dropping 75 crore rupees even before the release of the film's theatrical. Well now that's some brand value Aamir!

But beating Aamir & SRK is Ajay Devgn with his 400 crore worth deal with Star India. According to this deal all of Ajay's films for the next 3-years would be premiered on this channel only. 'Action Jackson' & 'Singham 2' are the films to name a few.

And defeating all to gain to number one position is Salman Khan with his 500 crore worth deal with Star India. His deal is similar to that of Ajay's but for a period of 5-years.
