This week at the box-office it is debutante Shiv Darshan's turn to try his luck... Shiv is director/producer Suneel Darshan's son who is known for some big multi-starrers like 'Ek Rishta'... 'Jaanwar' and 'Talaash' to name a few. Paired opposite model-turned-actress Hasleen Kaur who was crowned Miss India Earth in the year 2011 'Karle Pyaar Karle' was released across 1200 theatres and it secured an opening of mere 10% with very poor word of mouth too. Well for whistleokplease it is a haphazardly shot catastrophe and could be easily missed!
This week also saw the release of Niharika Singh & Nawazuddin starrer 'Miss Lovely' which was in cans for years. Released across 500 theatres this 'A' certified film managed an opening of about 10% even with a limited target audience.
But looking back at the week gone by. Looks like the young brigade of 'Yaariyan' has taken over the mature and heavy love story 'Dedh Ishqiya'.
'Yaariyan' whose budget was around 19 crore and which secured an opening of about 50% last week has collected a cool 29 crore rupees in its one week run at the box-office; the film is still running in about 2700 theatres.
While Madhuri Dixit's comeback film 'Dedh Ishqiya' did very little to impress the audience as it netted about 18.25 crore rupees in its one week run.
Next week watch out for this space as whistleokplease would bring you all the first days first show box-office action of Salman Khan starrer 'Jai Ho'!
